Miramichi Dragway Organizational Announcement:

As we continue to grow and streamline the operation of Miramichi Dragway, we are making some organizational changes. One of the new roles that we are creating is the Chief Operating Officer. This role will be responsible for all operational aspects of the Dragway and as such will be the prime interface for all racers and spectators as it relates to day to day operations.

Miramichi Dragway is very pleased to announce that Marc Comeau will assume the role of Chief Operating Officer in addition to his current role as Race Director. In his new role, Marc will provide leadership to our strong team of employees and be responsible for operations, marketing, sales and promotions for the track.

We are also pleased to announce that Marc Comeau has taken an equity position in the facility and as such has become a shareholder of Miramichi Dragway Inc.
Rodolph Savoie will maintain his role as President for Miramichi Dragway and will maintain his equity position as major shareholder.

This new structure will improve the decision-making process as inquiries will be directed to the new Chief Operating Officer position. Marc, as our new COO will engage our President as required.

Please join us in congratulating Marc is his new position and wishing him success in his new role.

Two lanes with over 500 feet of fresh concrete in each lane = a drag racer's dream. Racers will have 410 feet of concrete from the starting line out to the transfer to the pavement. The remainder is from the burnout boxes out to starting line.

Kudos to a great crew for 2 days of hard work to get the 2 lanes done. All the improvements at Miramichi Dragway Inc. are adding up to give racers and fans a great 2016 season.

Again, a big thanks to track owner for making sure these changes and improvements happen.

Management and staff are looking forward to seeing you soon.

It's the day we've all been waiting for! The new cement has been poured - well at least in one lane. The cement crew was hard at work this morning and by mid-afternoon, the right lane was finished. Doesn't it look awesome?!!

The left lane will be completed tomorrow. This is big improvement for Miramichi Dragway Inc. and shows the owner's ongoing commitment to providing a safe and fun playground for drag racers from all over Atlantic Canada, Quebec, Ontario and beyond.

We are excited for the 2016 season which kicks off the May long weekend with the High School Challenge. Are you ready for a great season of drag racing at MDI?

Miramichi Dragway signs on as an NHRA Member Track and will host an NHRA National Open in 2016!

NHRA officials have announced that Miramichi Dragway, has joined the NHRA Member Track Network as part of Division 1, the Northeast Division.

Over the last several years, facility owner Rodolphe Savoie has shown his commitment to the sport of drag racing time and time again, and with the help of local supporters, has turned Miramichi Dragway into a top notch drag racing facility. The fact that NHRA has come onboard as sanctioning body is further proof that Miramichi Dragway is capable of hosting world class events, and with that, have been awarded a National Open to the track in 2016.

Facility Manager Marc Comeau says "This is a huge boost for our facility. Local racers have known for a long time that Miramichi is a great facility, and with this announcement, the rest of North America will too"

Sportsman racers will now have the opportunity to win a Wally, and perhaps just as importantly, receive a coveted grade point required to attend one of NHRA's National events, and it can be done right in their own back yard here in Eastern Canada.

"We feel very fortunate to host events like the Downeast Nationals, ADRA Racing, the Atlantic Pro Tree Series, The All-Out Race, The Fall Brawl and the Atlantic Canadian Stock/Superstock tour at our facility, and now the addition of a National Open, we have all built something to be proud of" says Rodolphe. "Many of our local racers have already enjoyed great success on the North American stage. I believe that many more of our local racers are just as capable of such success, and now they will all have the chance to show their skills"

The NHRA National Open will be held July 29,30 2016. Stay tuned for more information and details to come.
